I’m Jamie... the woman behind Hypha. In nature, hyphae are fine threads that link living beings in powerful ways. Like a hypha, I am a bridge between people, helping my government and nonprofit clients build meaningful connections with the communities they serve.

Crisis Response Improvement Strategy

I facilitated a statewide effort to strengthen Washington’s behavioral health crisis system, bringing together diverse perspectives to create a shared vision and actionable recommendations.

Eastrail Eco-Charrettes

I led a collaborative eco-charrette process to help King County integrate bold, achievable sustainability and equity goals into a segment of Eastrail, connecting communities from Renton to Bellevue and beyond.

CalHHS 988 Policy Advisory Group

Kitsap County Community Health Improvement Plan

I designed and facilitated a collaborative process that engaged diverse community leaders in creating a long-term Community Health Improvement Plan, which guided public health investments across the county.

Eastrail Funding Commission

I facilitated a commission to explore private sector support for Eastrail, guiding them from initial conversations to final recommendations—including forming Eastrail Partners, a nonprofit that has secured millions to bring the trail to life.

Eastrail Wilburton Framework Plan

I facilitated a steering committee to shape the award-winning Wilburton Framework Plan that is guiding connected, community-centered growth along Bellevue’s Eastrail corridor.

City of Redmond Comprehensive Plan

I designed and led community engagement to inform the vision in Redmond’s 2050 Comprehensive Plan update, helping to ensure the city’s growth is guided by the voices, values, and needs of its evolving community.

Bellevue Grand Connection Crossing

To help bring Bellevue’s Grand Connection Crossing from vision to reality, I designed an engagement strategy that centered equity, built trust, and balanced the voices of community members, developers, and other key partners.

Universal Health Care

To inform Washington State's exploration of universal health care, I provided strategic guidance to the Health Care Authority on inclusive community engagement and adapting to a remote environment during COVID.

Eastrail Eco-Charrettes

To help shape a transformative new trail connection linking communities from Renton to Bellevue, I led a collaborative eco-charrette process that grounded the project in sustainability, equity, and community priorities from the start.

South Annex Base Equity & Social Justice Strategy

To support King County Metro Transit’s transition to an all-electric fleet, I served as equity strategic advisor—guiding the team through equity-focused charrettes and analysis to ensure the facility design reflects community needs and advances the County’s sustainability and equity goals.

Environmental Justice Capacity Building

In two of Seattle’s most diverse neighborhoods, I helped community members navigate light rail planning, understand environmental justice issues, and advocate for their needs.

Environmental Justice Analyses for Tolled Projects

I partnered with WSDOT and the University of Washington to develop a nationally-recognized approach for assessing the effects of tolling on low-income and minority communities, wrote eight NEPA environmental justice analyses, and shaped mitigation strategies.

Public Safety/Homelessness Response Asset Maps

In Seattle’s Chinatown-International District and Pioneer Square, I worked with community groups and public agencies to define safety, map local resources, and strengthen coordination to better address crime, homelessness, and neighborhood well-being.
